Knowledge of processing metal stamping parts


Processing metal stamping parts is one of the important processes in metal manufacturing enterprises, which includes punching, cutting, blanking and bending. The machining quality of stamping parts directly affects the service performance of products. In the production of metal stamping parts, die method and process method are mainly used for processing, which are introduced as follows


1、Die method

(1)Types of dies

According to different uses, it can be divided into three types: General type, special type and combined type

(2)Die structure

According to the different nature of work, it can be divided into two types: Integral type and combined type. The combined type die consists of several stamping dies; the integral type die consists of an integral stamping die and convex and concave parts of one or several parts; there are also semi-assembled stamping parts processing equipment in between the two

Generally, there are single-stage and multi-stage punching dies, in which the precision of single-stage punching and forging parts is higher, but the size range is narrow; while the precision of two-stage punching and forging parts is low, but the size range is wide

(3)Blanking clearance

In order to ensure the normal deformation of metal materials and obtain the necessary strength and stiffness, a certain gap value shall be ensured. When the hardness of the material is high, and the tensile rate is large and the brittleness is large, a larger gap value should be adopted, When the hardness is low, a smaller gap value should be adopted.

(4)Convex and concave shapes

In order to facilitate blanking and improve work efficiency, the workpiece is often made into a variety of convex and concave blanks or coarse and fine datum planes, such as cylindrical, conical, cylindrical, conical and other blanks for drawing; refined datum surfaces such as ring, square ring, rectangular strip or square column for forming

(5)Clamping mode

According to the shape, material and production efficiency requirements of stamped parts, a variety of clamping tools with different structures can be selected. Usually, there are two kinds of clamping tools: Fixed distance pressure plate and adjustable spanner. The advantage of fixed distance pressure plate is that it can adjust the position with high accuracy; and the advantage of adjustable spanner is that tools with different specifications and sizes can be conveniently replaced.

(6)Removal device

In order to prevent damage caused by external force or affect work efficiency, a safe and reliable removal device must be provided. Common removal tools include hydraulic pliers, pneumatic pliers, etc.
