According to the position of the working parts of the stamping composite mold, it can be divided into two types: flip-chip composite mold and formal composite mold. The composite die is characterized by high productivity, high relative position accuracy between the inner hole and the outer edge of the blanking part, lower positioning accuracy requirements for the sheet than the progressive die, and a smaller outline size of the die. However, the structure of the composite mold is complicated, the manufacturing precision is high, and the cost is high. The difficulty in the design of the composite mold lies in how to reasonably arrange several pairs of punches and dies on the same working position. Its main structural feature is that there is a punch and die that is both a blanking punch and a punching die.

Comparison of formal and flip-chip composite mold structures:

1. Formal type is more suitable for stamping metal stamping parts with soft material or thin sheet metal with high straightness requirements, and it can also stamp stamping parts with small hole edge distance.

2. The flip-chip type is not suitable for stamping blanking parts with a small distance from the edge of the hole, but the flip-chip composite mold has a simple structure and can directly use the rod device of the press to push the parts. The unloading is reliable, easy to operate, and suitable for mechanized production. Advantageous conditions are provided, therefore, the application is very extensive.
